20 hopeful teams have been split into four groups to battle it out for a golden pineapple
The draw for The Built World Cup’s first round proper took place on 10 April at the Horse and Groom in Shoreditch, London.
Hosted by ING’s Tom Hawkins, balls were picked out of a hat by The Developer’s Kimberley France and The Crowd’s Louise Constantine – the Built World Cup’s sponsor.
The 20 teams have been drawn into four groups of five teams. The teams will compete to be the first Built World Cup champions at the tournament on Friday 25 April.
The five-a-side football tournament features squads from property, architecture, construction and consultancy, with teams being split into four groups of A - D.

Mixed squads of 7+ people will be competing to get their hands on a coveted golden pineapple trophy while raising money for charity RE:Ukraine. Donations will go towards the construction of a Community Hub in Vorzel, RE:Ukraine’s charitable initiative to support communities devastated by the war in Ukraine. Funds will be used for completing construction and engineering documentations, preparing for the project’s implementation.
Matches will take place from 1pm on 25 April at Shoreditch Powerleague in London. Any supporters are very welcome to attend and being asked to contribute a £5 donation on the day.
The evening will end with a bang with thanks to The Crowd who is providing networking and drinks.
