Dan Labbad, chief executive of Lendlease Europe and future CEO of the Crown Estate, tells The Developer what he has learned from 20 years at the frontline of urban regeneration
“Y our licence to operate comes from how you impact communities,” Dan Labbad, chief executive of Lendlease Europe and future head of the Crown Estate tells the audience during his on-stage interview at the Festival of Place on 9 July 2019 (pictured above with The Developer editor Christine Murray).
In this podcast, Labbad talks gentrification, community protest, public-private partnership and what he has learned in his 20 years fronting urban redevelopments.
From being booed at a Haringey planning committee meeting, to his views on gender diversity, skills shortages and sustainability, Labbad calls on developers to be humble, and explains why change and disruption is the new status quo.
